United have announced yearly profits of £48.2m, compared with a loss of 21.4m for the previous year.
However, this figure also includes the £80m United recieved for the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo. If you take off this figure, United would have made another loss for the year of around £30m.
This might be one of the reasons why Sir Alex is holding back in the transfer market. He's a smart man and knows what's best for the club. Fans have been calling for a new signing but it looks unlikely to happen if you look deeper into the debt that looms over United.
