Vidic has been a defensive rock for United in the past few years and has won over the hearts of the United faithful with his immense presence, tackling and aggression. However, there have been numerous rumours to suggest that he may look to leave the club in the near future.
It's hard to trust the media these days, but I think United fans have reason to be a little worried about the 'rumours' going around. Until the summer transfer window, we had to look at the back pages of any paper and 99% of the time, Ronaldo and Real Madrid would be there in your face. One minute Ronaldo was saying he was happy and wanted to stay and the next minute Madrid were saying they had agreed a deal.
Vidic told the press "I have never said I want to go and play in another country. Other people have spoken or written about it and I am not happy with that.
"But I have said in the past what I think. I don't want to keep talking about it because I can't stop what people say. The fact is I am happy here."
So, had the Spanish invasion of our top players stopped or will it continue with the departure of Nemanja Vidic?
